Pros - What Is Included / Condition?
Jubilee- A stunning floating home that was professionally converted from an ex River Thames workboat hull. On the water, Jubilee is as close as you’ll come to the comfort and room of a house. A cosy forward cabin offers an almost complete panoramic view of the water. The open plan layout of the forward cabin gives room to heat the boat via the onboard woodstove. The open galley/kitchen makes cooking and hosting easy to navigate, whilst the real wooden floors feel warm underfoot. Plenty of room for storage in the galley as well as in the onboard cupboards.
Moving mid-ship a side door offers easy access to the boat. A small corridor gives entry to a spacious bathroom, with a shower, faucet and a pump-out macerator toilet. Further to the stern is the bedroom where a warm and welcoming double bed and wardrobe awaits. There are also access doors, from the bow and stern, making navigating to the back deck easier from the birth.
The back deck offers a space to store, or grow plants, with a black steel spiral staircase that leads to the top deck. The icing on the cake is the top decking area, which gives great views and a place to host outside. Unlike most boats within this budget, there’s plenty of room on the deck.
Jubilee is currently the queen of the lake at Uphill Marine in Somerset. Owners of the marina have started that the mooring can be continued, as a holiday home, but due to the conflict of interest, it may not be used as an airBNB. Transport, elsewhere, is possible. She is a static liveboard (no engine) offered in a used condition, the price reflects the caveat that some work will be needed externally to bring her back to her complete former glory; however, all work can in theory, be carried out at her current location. There is also a local tradesman/boat services who is willing to help or discuss any additional work that a potential buyer may need.
The boat is being sold because, sadly, the current owner has experienced a recent bereavement and therefore wishes to close this chapter. Viewings are not possible without prior consent.
Cons - What Needs Work / Condition?
Will need to be antifouled at some stage.
Boat is designed to be static.
